Greetings! If you're here then I'm going to presume that you're like me when I'm reading a photoblog and want to know what the rig this photographer is using, and what their experience behind the lens is! SO, I'll tuck right into the good bits before I wax philosophical on the why behind it all.

Photographic Experience:
I started shooting black and white with my F3 in my freshman year of High School. It was fantastic and I've been doing it since. For the next six years I shot recreationally with no specific goal or style in mind. Then, in 2010 I joined the Navy Public Affairs office while I was in Northern Japan and did photojournalism until spring 2012. While in Japan I documented the aftermath and recovery efforts from the March 2011 Tohoku Earthquake as well as numerous public service interactions between the Navy and the local Japanese community with work featured on Navy.mil.
Most recently I have moved back to the United States and am currently living in the US Capitol of Washington DC. It is an incredibly diverse city providing me with new inspiration and photographic challenges and opportunities daily.
Honestly though, the long and short of this is that I love photography. Being behind the lens and capturing the moment for later as well as being able to get the essence of what is happening before me is an amazing feeling and something I love to share with the world.
